Have you ever seen such an adorable baby??? This is an absolutely charming 12" Baby Dear from around 1962. With her original  'PORCELAIN SKIN TONE' This doll appears to be a PROTOTYPE.
 
Her vivid pink mouth, blue eyes, and GORGEOUS reddish-blonde hair. is complimented by the coloring and embroidered flowers on her dress.  She is simply STUNNING

Her coloring is uniform and evenly 'colorless' everywhere, including under the neck at the body and at the hair rooting.
 
At first, her lack of flesh/pink coloring might be a surprise, but once held in your arms, any mother would adore her unique charm.
 
For those of you who have loved Baby Dear longer than I can claim... this is surely a factory anomaly -- a 'one-of-a-kind' or factory mistake or PROTOTYPE? Now, you just have to keep her out of the sun... no beach days for this baby!
 
A unique Baby Dear to find in such lovely condition, this popular 12” Baby Dear doll, was first issued in 1960, designed by Eloise Wilkins, and marked on the back of her left leg. Cloth 'Vogue' tag intact at the nape of her neck.
 
Gorgeous coloring to her 'albino' skin. This baby has unique 'CARROT TOP' hair coloring like I have never seen. 
 
This happy baby is in excellent condition — fat and sassy, she sits up comfortably and poses ‘oh so many ways’. She is such a beauty!!
