This is the popular 12” Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1960s, designed by Eloise Wilkins, and marked on the back of her left leg. Cloth 'Vogue' tag intact at the nape of her neck.
 
Sweet baby has a lovely face with very shiny blonde hair with reddish tones, a soft body that drapes to pose in her baby ways.  She has a sweet baby smell after a bath and shampoo. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty and SHINEY blonde hair with light reddish highlights. 
 
This happy baby is in good condition. Her cloth body is pink and immaculately clean, and her vinyl is soft and even-toned with the exception of her right hand that is a slightly 'cooler' hue than the rest. 
Baby's face and features glow softly and there are no marks or blemishes; her right eye is missing a pin sized fleck of paint... I think of it as a 'twinkle'.
