This is the popular 12” Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1960s, designed by Eloise Wilkins, and marked on the back of her left leg. Cloth 'Vogue' tag intact at the nape of her neck.
 
Sweet baby has lovely face with very shiny light blond hair with reddish tones, a soft body that drapes to pose in her baby ways.  She has a sweet baby smell. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty and very SHINY blonde hair with light reddish highlights. 
 
This happy baby is in good condition. She does have a few light spots on her cloth body, and her vinyl is the later, harder consistency. Baby's face and features are pale and understated for the most part... so she is surely not perfect, and her best features are her gorgeous hair, and pretty layette. EVERY baby wants a Mom who will love and cherish her and she is ready for you to take her home.
