This sweet little 12" Eloise Wilkins BABY DEAR doll from the early 1960s, is ready to be adopted~
WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE BRING ME HOME??
Lovely little baby in excellent clean condition, this is the popular 12” Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1960, designed by Eloise Wilkins, and marked on the back of her left leg. Cloth 'Vogue' tag intact at the nape of her neck.
She came to me with a body that needed replacing... I gave her the same-mold 2nd issue vinyl body that is in wonderful condition with no restoration. She has the 1st issue head with rooted blonde hair... there are NO missing plugs and it is thick and quite full... of course, you can see someone has given her a 'trim', and although it is a nice even trim, her 'locks' are abbreviated. WELL, how many older sisters trimmed their little sister's hair for Mom when we were young. I know my own sister gave my brand new Revlon Bride Doll from Santa Claus what was then known/called a butch haircut...maybe this little one had a spa treatment experience, too!
I know there are quite a few of you out in DOLLY LAND who will love her just as she is; or, who will possibly re-root her hair. She will appreciate and your loving arms.
Gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with blond hair with reddish tones, and a clean body. She has a sweet baby smell. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty blonde hair with reddish highlights. My close up photos of her hair seem most accurate.
This happy baby is in excellent condition — fat and sassy, she sits up comfortably and poses ‘oh so many ways’. She is such a beauty!!Included layette:🌸 Vintage blue cotton'baby style' dress with tie closure at the back🌸 White knit booties🌸 White cotton bloomers🌸NEW Old-Store-Stock cotton twill COAT and BONNET
All clothing in clean excellent condition; I altered the coat sleeves that were too long, to fit this little sweetie; the little blue dress has a couple of small spots on the lower skirt, that may launder out -- all pressed and ready for play and display... although she prefers to be cuddled. This little sweetie pie is absolutely delightful and you will surely LOVE her and welcome her into your own dolly nursery."If you collect these little Sweeties, you know they are much like potato chips, and cannot be resisted or denied. Dress them often, as they look charming and enjoy being fussed over."
