Baby Dear comes dressed in her hard to find original white cotton batiste 'baby' dress, matching slip, rare undershirt and original diaper (with added lace at the leg openings); and, her original blue cotton knit "Dr. Denton" style pajamas with the 'non-skid' soles (well, she is going to need them when she starts to walk). I added a pair of newly made booties that are a copy of the originals that would have come with her white dress. For extra fun I included a yellow cotton jersey print layette short kimono with cute puffed sleeves to wear after bath time.
 
Her clothing is in excellent, immaculately clean condition. Her pajamas came on her when I acquired her some time ago, and there are a few 'lightest of light' pale small marks on the shirt that are barely discernible, most especially when worn... the color is EVEN and a lovely shade of medium baby blue that is even in tone (any perceived fading is photo back flash), with elastic intact and snuggly warm for colder nights, or when she kicks off her blankets.
 
There is Gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with the prettiest blonde hair, with red highlights -- just like the Baby Dear in Eloise Wilkins book about this sweet little baby doll. Her limbs are pink and beautiful as the day she was 'born.' She has a sweet baby smell. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty very blonde hair. Her hair has no missing plugs and is clean and shiny and lovely, and can be combed.
 
This happy baby is in excellent condition — fat and sassy, she has a pleasant and huggable body that is immaculately clean. Her hair is clean and shiney and loves to be brushed. There is a little squeaker inside that makes a sweet sound calling you in the night when she is scared or lonely.
She is a PRIZE for a collector who will appreciate this special little girl.
 
She will come with a reproduction 'Baby Dear' wrist tag.
