Gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with the lightest and shiniest blonde hair, and an immaculately clean body; her limbs are pink and beautiful as the day she was 'born.' She has a sweet baby smell. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty light blonde hair… not so much the reddish cast a few of my pictures show Her hair has no missing plugs and is clean and shiny and lovely.
This happy baby is in unplayed with condition — fat and sassy with just the right amount of her featured 'floppiness' she was born with. There should be no surprises as received... she is a PRIZE for a collector who will appreciate this special little girl.
She wears her original Vogue 'Baby Dear' wrist tag.
She comes in her correctly marked Vogue Baby Dear retail box. She is wearing the correct outfit to match the item number -- a white cotton batiste short gown, matching slip, matching booties and a pure white flannel diaper. The box has only the slightest bit of wear as shown, and still has the cello and cardboard 'cut out door' intact.. Makes an amazing display, but she would much rather come out and play with the other girls in the nursery than be tethered in her box!
Her outfit is in perfect shape with no stains and displays beautifully! The elastic is still tight and fits perfectly.
The extra Vogue Baby Dear outfit is from a later issue and is a tiny bit big for her. I believe it goes to the 'redesigned' Baby Dear from about 1964... but, doesn't she look cute in it? Its in excellent condition, with only one side of the snap to the slip replaced to keep things together :-)
I had no intentions of parting with any of my rather large collection of these sweet dollies, but find a Baker’s Dozen might be a little much. If you collect them, you know they are much like potato chips, and cannot be resisted or denied. Dress them often, as they look charming and enjoy being fussed over.

This is a wonderful 12 inch Vogue Baby Dear in her Original Box. She is "A Member of the Original Ginny Doll Family" and Style 42290 on the end. The cardboard hasn't even been removed from over the cellophane window! Only removed and undressed for your inspection. Has her hang tag and is marked with a Vogue Dolls Inc cloth label on the back of her neck. The clothes are original, but are not tagged. The dress and slip fasten with Vogue's "starlet dot" snaps. The little ribbons are sewn onto the booties securely.
Just wonderful condition. Such lovely rooted hair. Facial paint is gorgeous. No odor. Box shows a little age, with a minor crease and dent at a lower front edge. It looks like it never made it onto the sales floor.
