This blanket comes in its original brown mailing envelope straight from the Esmond Mills advertising department so many decades ago. The stamp, a Martha Washington issue from 1939 with a value of 1-1/2 cents, is one clue to the blankets age; another is the publication date on the included booklet, "The Story of Bunny Esmond" dated 1947. We can assume the mailing date falls somewhere after 1947.
 
Blanket has never been used or unwrapped until today's photo session. What a great piece of history to add to your collection... and your small baby doll, like Effanbee's Dy-Dee Ette will love to snuggle down for a peaceful nap with it.
