Vintage 21" Composition American Character CHUCKLES -- A Petite Baby Doll -- circa 1928
 
Thisis the EARLIEST issue of the doll named Chuckles... later issues were made in the 1950s of hard plastic. She is of the earliest composition dolls made in the late 1920's early 1930's.
 
Completely restored by the 'Best'.
 
Wearing her original cotton dress, socks, and oilcloth shoes with replaced newly-made pantaloons.
 
She has lovely facial coloring and an adorable plump face, rosy cheeks, a half open smiling mouth with 2 rows of teeth and tongue. She has very BRIGHT and ALLURING brown sleep eyes. Both eyes open and close perfectly, just as they should and have all their eyelashes.
 
Cotton feedsack print dress has a pretty cut lace collar and buttons at the back.
