Sweet little baby is in immaculate condition with beautiful shiney hair. Her vinyl limbs are free of marks or stains and even in color -- beautiful signature chuubby limbs. Her plump cloth body has its original stuffing and music box. She is soft and plump and her body is free of stains or marks. She is nice and firm and her music box can function properly. She has the Vogue Dolls Inc cloth tag on the nape of her neck.
ALL ORIGINAL DOLL... music box is original and did not need to be restored but for the lost key that has been replaced). All Baby Dear dolls are adorable and need love... but this little one does have a 'special gift' ... she is the super rare and very special MUSICAL VERSION of the Baby Dear. That means she has a little music box inside along with a shaft that extends into her head that allows melodic tones to play a tune when wound, AND for her head to 'move' (like the Thumbelina dolls made by Ideal). The music box works GREAT!
She has a beautiful face with all painted features intact. Her coloring is all natural and she is one of the very best 12" Baby Dear dolls I have had to date.
Her hair is a gorgeous shade of very light blonde. This was the hardest part to capture in photographing her today, as it depends on the lighting as to the shade, but "in hand" it is more of a blonde shade. It is thick and full and brushes nicely with ALL plugs intact. I have included many photos of her in different lighting to give you a clearer idea of her features. Back of her neck has the Vogue tag, of course.
Baby Dear comes in her ORIGINAL early Vogue PIN-DOT TOPPER SET in excellent condition; I have added a newly made pair of booties that are a copy of the ones that would have come with this outfit.. Elastic has been replaced all around to remain springy at the waist and leg openings of the bloomers and at the puffed sleeves.
Baby Dear is dressed in this newly made (by me) replica of her original pink flannel drawstring night gown -- see photo of one of my other 12" Baby Dear modeling it for you, while laying next to her original one, for comparison. It is a DARLING little drawstring nightie, made of brand new soft pink flannel; it closes at the back with a snap.
