RARE!! Vintage 1960s Musical Tagged Vogue 12” BABY DEAR Doll by Eloise Wilkins

Sweet little baby is in clean condition. Her vinyl limbs are free of marks or stains and even in color -- beautiful signature chuubby pink limbs. Her plump cloth body has had its old kapok stuffing replaced with fresh, soft new stuffing, as I had to open her to repair the broken music box to play smoothly and move once again. You can see where she has had 'surgery' to make her 'sing', so to speak. She is nice and firm so her music box can function perfectly. The cloth is clean and free of marks and stains. She has the Vogue Dolls Inc tag on the nape of her neck, but is not shown as I took the photo before putting it back in place.
All Baby Dear dolls are adorable and need love... but this little one does have a 'special gift' ... she is the super rare and very special MUSICAL VERSION of the Baby Dear. That means she has a little music box inside along with a shaft that extends into her head that allows melodic tones to play a tune when wound, AND for her head to 'move' (like the Thumbelina dolls made by Ideal). The music box works GREAT!
She has a beautiful face with all painted features intact. I did add a smidgeon of blush to her cheeks, but I will remove it if buyer so desires... I like a little 'Life' in my babies.
Her hair is a gorgeous shade of light blonde. This was the hardest part to capture in photographing her today, as it depends on the lighting as to the shade, but "in hand" it is a beautiful bright blonde. It is thick and full and brushes nicely.; there are no missing plugs.I have included many photos of her in different lighting to give you a clearer idea of her features. Back of her neck has the Vogue tag, of course.
She comes dressed in a DARLING little drawstring nightie, made of soft flannel; with its white background sprinkled with the cutest little babies sitting on clouds. It closes at the back with a pink ribbon that adjusts at the neckline.
