Vintage 1952 little Boy Gardener 9" Cherub Doll by Madame Alexander
 
Darling little fella' is one of several branded series CHERUB dolls issued by Mdme Alexander Dolls in 1952. -- I have three listed in my shop today for your enjoyment. This listing is for the little BOY GARDENER ONLY.
 
This cheerful boy is ready to help till your garden with his very own original red rake that smartly fits in the ribbon slot at the right side of his bright blue cotton overalls. The overalls close at the waist in the back with a tiny, hand-sewn silver snap; the straps cross at the back and button at the waist with two small white buttons to keep his bricthes up as he works. Underneath he wears a pink with white polka dot shirt; all topped off with a blue sun hat to keep the sweat off his brow. He wears side snap oilcloth shoes and rayon socks to complete his ensemble.
 
SPRING is HERE!
 
He has a green and gold clover leaf hang tag, and his outfit is tagged at the back of his shirt collar. He also has the 'distinguished' round gold and blue foil tag AWARD from the Fashion Academy (for dolls I presume).
 
I would say this boy is in MINT condition throughout; surely he will not disappoint!
