This is a GORGEOUS Baby! These dolls were made by Ideal Toy Co and marketed under the name "Baby Beautiful". They came in a wide range of sizes as well as with blue eyes, or brown eyes; as they were marketed by some large retailers like Montgomery Ward and Sears, some of the dolls were marked Ideal and some were not -- THIS ONE IS APPROPRIATELY MARKED 'IDEAL DOLL'. Baby Beautiful is GORGEOUS in her equally gorgeous crisp, pure white cotton organdy dress, bonnet, and slip; and a pair of replaced newly-made pantaloons. She has a same vintage pair of cream and pink knit booties with a flower embroidered on the toe box of each. I have added a BREATHTAKING baby fine silk coat and matching pink silk bonnet.
Baby herself IS ALL ORIGINAL -- FROM HEAD TO TOE -- WITH NO RESTORATIONS OF ANY KIND. She has only the very lightest of intermittent crazing and barely visible at all -- amazing original condition. Lovely BROWN eyes open and close perfectly, with a few lashes missing on her left eye. Her body is strong and IMMACULATELY CLEAN and intact; inside is her LOUD WORKING CRIER... so rare to find.
INCLUDES her sweet little RED Shackman Sleepy baby toy from the 1950s... her little "Lovie"
