Vintage 1940s Effanbee Patsy Babyette 9" all composition TWIN DOLLS in their original factory presentation box.
Excellent condition. ALL ORIGINAL these two sweeties have minimal age-related wear to show for their 80+ years. The little boy has a couple of light hairline separations at the left eye, and the little girl has one, which I did seal. Smooth HIGH COLOR composition from head to toe with only the lightest of crazing. No rubs to their lovely faces. Strung securely. Crystal clear blue glassene eyes open and close perfectly with full, even brush lashes. All painted facial features present.

- White SNOWSUIT -- pants, jacket, hat and 'shoes'
- Pin / blue silk 'onesies'
- pink / blue kimonos
- Pink / blue floral robes
- Pink /blue floral dropseat pajamas
- Oilcloth shoes and rayon socks
Wearing their EXTREMELY RARE white 'wooly rayon' snowsuits. Each snowsuit has a silk onesie underneath, jackets with corresponding pink or blue buttons, pants that button in the back at the waist, and same fabric 'shoes'. There were only 3 of these shoes in the box when I acquired the set many years ago now. I added a pair of white knit booties so each would have an appropriate pair to complete their outfits. There were oilcloth shoes with quite a bit of wear, and one pair of pristine shoes as well.
Their presentation box is in fair condition but a nice spot to store their layettes.
Superb example of these very popular twin doll sets issued by Effanbee in a variety of matching outfits with either caracul wigs in several colors, or with molded curls in dark chocolate brown, blond, or light reddish brown.
Marked appropriately on their backs, "Effanbee / Patsy Babyette".
I have not seen a more complete set of these twins in my 30+ years of collecting Patsy Family dolls.
