This is the same 10" toddler Babykin set that is pictured on page 27 in the "Patsy Doll Family Encyclopedia, Vol. II"). As is appropriate her head is marked Patsy Baby, and her body is marked Effanbee Patsy Baby.
She comes in her FAO SCHWARZ 'picnic hamper basket' with her entire original trousseau.

Her clothes are in excellent to mint condition, with the exception of the pink silk coat and bonnet which have wear to the delicate fabric and need to be handled gently; but, she is modeling it today and it went on fine; the silk ties to the bonnet are abbreviated after over 80 years. The long gown is fabulous, as is her darling nightie gown, pink organdy dress and bonnet.
The hamper basket was one of many issued by FAO Schwarz in the mid-1930s and highlighted in their Christmas catalogs. The inside of the basket has two cardboard sheets covered in pink silk fabric and lace; many pink silk ribbons are attached where once her clothing was secured. There is even a 'silver' HEART attached to the inside of the lid with a pink ribbon. The wicker has held pretty well -- it closes nicely and the handle is still attached.
BABYKIN herself is in remarkable near mint condition! Her body is nearly mint with very little signs of age, and NO crazing. Her beautiful deep dark chocolate curls shine, with only a couple of rubs at the backside. All of her painted features are intact. Her eyes are a GORGEOUS shade of blue-green; her eyes were crazed when I received her, and the irises have been replaced to bring this lovely back to her original condition.
This is an extremely rare set. I have never seen another one -- FABULOUS SET for the Patsy Family doll collector.
