Extremely rare and wonderful collectible vintage find. This is a retail box in 'suitcase' graphic form, filled with Vanta Baby toiletry products, Vanta outfits, and a 9" baby doll to dress and care for all day long. Circa 1951 when this Ideal doll was introduced by Vanta in its advertising lineup.
 
NEVER USED SET~
 
This unusual set has a squeezably soft Ideal baby doll (marked Ideal on the nape of her neck), with a magic skin type body, and soft head, wearing her perfectly sized VANTA drop seat (like Nitey Nites) pajamas -- a tiny pair of them with top and bottoms that snap together with teeney snaps at the inside waist, and the shirt snaps at the back. They have never been removed from baby, but I did peek under and see the 'skin' and though lt is very lightly 'pocked' as this type is commonly found, the body is in excellent, sturdy conditon and an overall original light complexion. I did clean the head, but left the clothing as found... only the slightest age showing at all and none of the garments have been used... perfect!
 
Each garment (except the panties) has its own VANTA tag sewn securely either inside or outside.
 
Set includes the powder canister, cake of soap, yellow knit dress with matching panties,  washcloth, bib undershirt, kimono robe and pajamas.
 
The pajamas are a beautiful shade of Christmas Red... just in time for the holidays.
 
Suitcase measures 10" x 7" x 3" deep. 
 
This adorable dolly would make a great companion to one of your larger baby dolls... to love and hug all her own.
