EXTREMELY RARE -- Lovely vintage 1920s-1930s Madame Hendren composition and cloth doll. All ORIGINAL and approximately 18" tall. This young lady was marketed as "The Hendren Girl" There are very few examples of this sweet girl making her a perfect addition to a Georgene Averill / Madame Hendren doll collection.

She is all original with no restorations of any kind. She has her original human hair wig in its original set. A beautiful yellow organdy dress and satin hair ribbon complement her porcelain-like complexion, with all painted facial features intact. She has an open mouth with three upper teeth; gorgeous tin-litho BLUE eyes have most of her human hair lashes that are thick and even; the eyes open and close perfectly.

Ms. Hendren has a firmly stuffed cloth body with a non-working crier, and a now unreadable stamp ostensibly labeling her a Hendren doll. All limbs are secure and move freely and firmly; her socket head tilts and turns to enhance her expressions and 'bring her alive'. There are no identification marks; however, her dress is TAGGED clearly marking her origins.

She appeared to have never been played with or undressed; I did remove her undergarment and gently cleaned it, along with refreshing the elastic in the leg openings. Her lovely organdy and silk trim dress is quite delicate and fragile; one sleeve is torn and there a few other separations... but, she does display beautifully!

There is NO CRAZING to her composition and blush adorns her knees and she has two dimples on each elbow. Perfect face.
