Vintage 1930s striped print cotton romper for your 20" Effanbee Dy-Dee baby BOY~
 
For many years I have curated a set of matching layettes for my twin 20" Dy-Dee dolls. Each has their own matching trunk, and matching toys, clothes, and accessories; several are their original factory clothes, and many more handmade or not original but just perfect for them.
 
This darling romper set -- romper and bib -- is another particular favorite of mine and modeled on my own little boy, whom you will see more of as I go through his trunk (with his permission, of course).
 
The romper is hand sewn as so many of the Dy-Dee doll layettes were back in post-depression times when 'store bought' was out of reach for most families... so well-done it looks factory made though.  It is a nice blue striped cotton print and you can see the tailoring that reflects the style of that decade.
 
This is a 2-piece set --- short-sleeved shirt and shorts that button together at the waist. The set features an embroidered duck on his shirt and more on his collar.
 
I added the most adorable embroidered bib to complement, and a pair white socks.
 
Surely someone has a little boy that will be charmed this Spring and the upcoming MOTHER'S DAY holiday by wearing this most unique outfit.
