Gorgeous vintage Molly'es Christening Coat Set and Long Gown for your Effanbee 20" Dy-Dee Lou baby doll.
 
Made of soft, pale pink lightweight silk, this set features pink embroidered accents, and a lovely coach collar. The matching bonnet has a double ruffle and net lace, with original pink silk ties. This set was made by Molly'es expressley for Dy-Dee from her FAO Schwarz deluxe trunk. In nice condition, with a small spot where the fabric has thinnned (see photo) in the front. Bonnet has original ties, with some expected wear, but still sturdy and nice.
 
Underneath you will find a lovely Dy-Dee original white cotton batiste gown. Gown has a soft 'hand' to the fabric that drapes beautifully. Dress in nice condition with a repair at the side seam on one side, but displays and wears well without notice. Underneath is a freshly made white cotton slip to compliment.
 
So RARE to find a 'carriage' or christening set for Dy-Dee Lou. I have only seen a couple of the advertised sets in 30 years... I sold one many years back now, and kept one for my own collection. This set comes to me more recently and you will find it a prized addition to your baby's layette.
Dy-Dee will look breathtaking in this ensemble, and as any Dy-Dee Lou collector will tell you, the christening sets in this size are truly RARE.
