Vintage 1930s FAO Schwarz Effanbee Dy-Dee Trunk Set
 
ALL ORIGINAL -- Nearly perfect 15" Dy-Dee baby and her layette as pictured in advertisement (see 3rd photo).
 
Gorgeous Dy-Dee baby has a high color head with a glowing face and shiny chocolate brown molded curls. She has clear deep brown glassene eyes with all her natural brush lashes -- thick, full and even. She is in original condition as sold more than 80 years ago now. Her rubber body is remarkable with no crazing, no cracks, and no dryness with good overall light skin tone that is soft and supple. Only the lightest of wear overall. All joints move securely and freely as they should.
This is an FAO SCHWARZ set -- indicated by the red dots that are part of the graphics on the trunk, which was exclusive to their sets. The trunk is in excellent condition with its original organdy pad, as well as the cardboard tray insert -- it rests on pegs (that have been replaced as they were missing as is common).
 
Inside you will find all of Dy-Dee's original layette items as indicated in 'news' photo that shows an advertisement for this set. Everything pictured is included. The celluloid rattle has a dent on one side, small stain on the underside of the organdy pad; her eyes open and close and function properly, but do not quite close fully (see photo provided). Otherwise all clothing/items in excellent condition.
