Vintage 1930s FAO Schwarz Effanbee Dy-Dee Ette Trunk Set
 
Nearly perfect 11" Dy-Dee Ette baby and her layette as pictured in advertisement (see last photo).
 
Gorgeous Dy-Dee baby has a high color head with a glowing face and shiny chocolate brown molded curls. She has deep brown glassene eyes with all her natural brush lashes. There was a pin dot of missing color on her upper left eye that I have added... otherwise is her absolute original condition as sold more than 80 years ago now. Her rubber body is remarkable with no crazing or cracks or dryness with good overall skintone. All joints move securely and freely as they should.
 
This is an FAO SCHWARZ set -- indicated by the red stars that are part of the graphics, which was exclusive to their sets. Her trunk is in excellent condition with its original organdy pad, as well as two cardboard tray inserts -- one rests on pegs (that have been replaced as they were missing as is common) and the other fit inside the trunk lid and had outfits attached when it was first presented and purchased so many decades ago.
 
SUPER COOL and RARE -- trunk still retains its ORIGINAL LOCKING KEY.
 
Inside you will find all of Dy-Dee's original layette items as indicated in my last photo that shows an advertisement for this set. The rubber pants were missing so I did add a pair of soft blue ones that are just her size. Everything pictured is included.
