Vintage 1930s Effanbee Tousle Head Patsy Baby Patricia RARE Variant.
Darling documented Patsy variant. Page 62 in the Patsy Doll Family Encyclopedia describes and pictures this sweet and unusual doll (see photo with detailed description). She is comprised as an Effanbee factory variant with a Patsy BabyKIN head
Dressed all original, Patsy stands about 14" high. She wears her combination romper/blouse under a pleated green plaid TAGGED jumper. A matching hat sits firmly over her precious blonde curls... yes, blonde, but slightly on the red side... I just couldn't get my photos to reflect their true color. Beautiful shade of blonde; curls are full and thick. The outfit has quite a bit of wear and fading, which I think you can see from my pictures well enough.
She wears her original white oilcloth shoes and socks. One of the snaps looks fragile, so I mended it on the inside to hold; I wouldn't advise removing them though :-)
Patsy has light crazing to her face but great color. Her clear brown glassene eyes have a full complement of thick and even brush lashes, and open and close properly. Her composition body has some crazing and some repaint apparent.
This little girl is surely not mint by any means, but she is a rare documented variant in her original factory outfit. If you are a Patsy Family Doll collector, you might just wish to have her join your collection.
