SECOND PRIZE WINNER — UFDC Doll Show Competition, Denver, Colorado, 2010

Well... no wonder.

WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW

Rare Blonde Mold 1 • Beautiful Brown Eyes • Early 1938 Issue • FAO Schwarz Set • Exceptional Original Condition

This beautiful early Dy-Dee Baby is one of those special dolls that seems to have had someone looking after her from the very beginning.

She is the hard-to-find 15" blonde Mold 1, with wonderful molded blonde curls and beautiful brown sleep eyes—an especially appealing combination. Her eyes retain full, even lashes and open and close perfectly.

Her glowing complexion is exceptional, with lovely cheek color and her painted features beautifully preserved. Her rubber body is equally lovely, with an even skin tone and no crazing. Baby is all original with no restoration.

And then there is everything that comes with her...

This is far more than a lovely Dy-Dee Baby. She comes in her wonderful early FAO Schwarz retail display/travel case, together with an extensive period layette, nursing accessories and original Dy-Dee ephemera.

Most charming of all is her Dy-Dee Diary, handwritten by her original Little Mommy and dated 1938. Also included is the Effanbee What Every Young Doll Mother Should Know booklet, also dated 1938.

Someone loved this baby a very long time ago.

This wonderful Dy-Dee presentation earned SECOND PRIZE at the 2010 UFDC Doll Show Competition in Denver, Colorado—a lovely bit of history for a baby who was already more than 70 years old when she received her ribbon.

Today, nearly nine decades after her Little Mommy wrote in that 1938 diary, she remains remarkably beautiful.

So hard to find a blonde Mold 1 Dy-Dee Baby in this exceptional condition—and harder still to find one accompanied by such a wonderful early collection.

Ready for her next Little Mommy...
