Beautiful vintage 1930s Effanbee 9" Patsyette composition doll, mint in her retail box, and dressed as Anne Shirley. All original and never undressed in nearly 90 years since leaving the factory.
 
She has gorgeous and vibrant red mohair braids with blue silk ribbons. She  wears a crisp blue polished cotton print pleated dress with organdy bib collar that has complimentary blue embroidery and ruffle. Tiny mother-of-pearl buttons and a self-fabric tie at the waist that makes a pretty bow at the back finish the fine details of the dress. Undernearth are her perfect matching onesie style bloomers/romper. The elastic gathers on both dress and romper are amazingly still springy and tight.
 
Patsyette comes in her original 'shoebox' style retail box that is in excellent condition. The box is appropriately marked ANNE SHIRLEY... rare to find.
 
This lovely girl has NO CRAZING and her composition is smooth and even-toned with no paint loss. I did not undress her as her clothing has never been removed and felt it best to keep that way. However, a 'peek' under the clothing shows no flaws. Stringing is tight and she poses perfectly. Beautiful high color face with all painted features intact. Marked appropriately on her back 'Effanbee / Patsyette'.
 
Comes wearing her Effanbee metal Golden Heart bracelet.
 
All original down to her fingertips and toes! Original oilcloth shoes and blue stripe silk socks complete her ensemble.
