Baby's beautiful dress and bonnet are the early Effanbee Dy-Dee vintage 1930s. It is a pale blue, with a blue slip; dress has one small hole at the back at the hem that has been 'invisibly' repaired. The bonnet has some fabric wear on the brim. Her pajamas have only light play wear; sweater is perfect. Everything is immaculately clean and pressed and ready to display.
Baby herself has a MINT restored head -- gorgeous blond molded curls, rosy cheeks, vividly painted features, and beautiful open and close GREEN glassene sleepy eyes; the brush lashes are full and even and lovely with RARE blonde lashes. The eyes do not recede at all and are aligned perfectly... Her 'skin' is smooth but there is surface light overall crazing on the front of her body at the chest and stomach area, and a bit on her upper right arm, and no cracking. Arms pose nicely and she sits well. All fingers and toes are intact ... no worries for dressing and playing with this darling girl.
The 20" Mold 1 Dy-Dee LOU baby doll is the MOST HIGHLY DESIRED of all the Effanbee Dy-Dee dolls -- this is a great opportunity to add one to your collection... but FYI, the blonde dolls were only made in the 15" Dy-Dee size, in the Mold 1 issue. I took a liberty and had this lovely restored as a blonde, and she is one of the loveliest of the short handful I have had done over the years.
