Vintage 1924 Effanbee 25" Bubbles Composition All Original Baby Doll
By far the nicest Bubbles in this size I have ever seen -- she is ALL ORIGINAL wearing an EXTREMELY RARE TAGGED Effanbee Bubbles dress set, and her very rare pink mohair embroidered sweater and bonnet.
Baby Bubbles is a hefty and healthy 25" -- her chubby curved baby legs enable her to sit comfortably and look so cute you just have to pick her up for a hug and a kiss~

Bubbles is vibrant and glows with high color and is in near mint condition... how mint could you be when you are almost 100 years old? Bubble has NO crazing; color is even and smooth on her limbs. Her face is near mint. and her blond painted hair is flawless; there is a tiny 'star' in the compo on the very top of her head that has been sealed. Her fingers have the red painted joint accents. Her left hand is perfect, and part of the fingers on her right hand had some light paint loss, and have been touched up to match. Otherwise this darling little Princess is perfection and JOY!
She wears a very rare dress of off-white cotton lawn fabric, with a matching bonnet. The dress and bonnet are both trimmed in pale pink SILK RUCHING. There are a couple of pinholes in the bonnet and one on the dress at the front bodice. The dress is TAGGED with the BUBBLES tag making no doubt as to its authenticity and her origins. Bubbles herself, is marked appropriately on the back of her chest plate calling out the year of her birth... 1924.
Included is her very rare pink mohair sweater and bonnet set. These sets are so hard to find and highly desired by collectors. This set has some age wear with separations in the yarn at the back collar that have been carefully repaired in matching pink silk thread; of course, the repair does not show as it is in the back. The sweater and cap are each embellished with silk embroidered flowers. Attached are silk 'rose' print ribbons that are aged and though vibrant in color still, are delicate and like tissue now. I chose not to replace them as they are so lovely still, but really should not be tied to avoid disintegrating altogether... best to be enjoyed as they are :-)
Baby Bubbles wears a pair of replaced shoes... adorable pink fel shoes with pom poms and blue silk laces... these suit her well, don't you think?
