Vintage 1924 Effanbee 19" Bubbles Composition All Original Baby Doll
Sweet Baby Bubbles in the popular 19" size -- she is ALL ORIGINAL wearing her TAGGED Effanbee Bubbles dress set, and her very rare blue mohair embroidered knit sweater and bonnet.
Baby Bubbles is a popular collectible size of 19" -- her chubby stuffed cloth legs are curved baby legs that enable her to sit comfortably and look so sweet~
Includes her RARE Effanbee Bluebird pin, and a copy of a Bubbles Hang Tag
Bubbles is vibrant and glows with high color and is in fabulous display-ready condition... how mint could you be when you are almost 100 years old? Bubble has light overall crazing to her face; color is even and smooth on her limbs and there is some slight separation to the composition at the backs of her arms and on her right hand, and some paint wear at the back of her shoulder plate that has been sealed. Color is even and smooth on her limbs. Her face retains all original facial features... including her brows which are oftentimes 'gone'.' Her blond painted hair has some light age rubs. Her left hand is perfect, and part of the fingers on her right hand had some light paint loss, and have been touched up to match.
She wears her original dress of white cotton lawn fabric, with a matching bonnet and slip with her original flannel diaper underneath. The dress and bonnet are both trimmed in French Val lace. The dress is TAGGED with the BUBBLES tag making no doubt as to its authenticity and her origins. Bonnet is in mint condition; dress has a few small pinholes. Bubbles herself, is marked appropriately on the back of her chest plate calling out the year of her birth... 1924.
Included is her very rare blue mohair sweater and bonnet set. These sets are so hard to find and highly desired by collectors. This set is in magnificent condition with original blue silk patterned ties to the bonnet. The sweater and cap are each embellished with silk embroidered flowers.
Baby Bubbles wears her original oilcloth shoes with replaced satin ties, and retains her original cotton stockings.
