Offered is an EXCEPTIONAL 13½-inch Tiny Tears, dating to approximately 1956, with exquisite original coloring, brilliant BLUE sleep eyes, beautifully molded reddish-brown hair, and a wonderful collection of vintage clothing and accessories.
This is the beloved mid-sized Tiny Tears with the vinyl body, hard plastic head, and hands-down design, produced for only a relatively brief period beginning in 1956.
I have collected Tiny Tears dolls for more than 25 years, and this particular version has always been among my favorites!

GORGEOUS BLUE SLEEP EYES — crystal clear, with full, thick lashes. Eyes open and close beautifully.
EXQUISITE ORIGINAL FACIAL COLORING — wonderfully rosy cheeks, lovely complexion, and beautifully preserved original facial paint.
RICH REDDISH-BROWN MOLDED HAIR — exceptionally well preserved, with only a couple of very minor rubs.
BEAUTIFUL VINYL BODY — soft, pink, smooth, and wonderfully fresh, with that desirable original powdery matte finish.
NO CHEWS, STAINS, MARKS, OR DISCOLORATION to her body.
WORKING SQUEAKER — she makes a wonderful, loud squeak when her body is squeezed!

After all these years of collecting Tiny Tears dolls, I can honestly say that this is among the SOFTEST, PINKEST, MOST BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED VINYL BODIES I have encountered.
It retains that delicate, almost powdery surface appearance so characteristic of a baby who has experienced very little handling.
She looks as though she has just come home from the toy store — some 70 years ago!

This charming ensemble was included in a limited series of Tiny Tears suitcase sets and is particularly desirable among collectors today. Finding the coat together with its matching bonnet is a pleasure in itself -- the set is in such BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED CONDITION is another matter entirely!
The rich blue wool felt, crisp white scalloped detailing, and charming little bonnet create one of the prettiest Tiny Tears outfits of the 1950s.
