IF you are an avid collector of Baby Dear you will surely want to bring this little sweetheart home.
 
This is the REDESIGNED doll that first came out  as the 2nd issue in 1964 -- and was not designed by Eloise Wilkins; this baby is not to be confused with the next generation that came out shortly afterwards. You will note she has eyebrows and an adorable 'open closed mouth' that is very different than the closed mouth and browless version that is common now. Both of the redesigned versions now had sleep eyes.
 
I have only seen 2 of these little ones in this size and one in the 18" size. Most collectors are not aware of this especially elusive mold. I have treasured her both from an historical point of view, as well as absolutely loves her adorable face.
 
Baby Dear is referenced in the Vogue Dolls book on pages 269 and 270. She was marketed as "New, Pretty Baby Dear", and still retained the soft vinyl arms and legs. She is correctly marked "VOGUE DOLL / 1964" with the expected ©1960/E. Wilkin.
 
This unique and RARE version of the Baby Dear product line comes dressed in her pink organdy party dress, diaper, and booties (that look never to have been removed from her little feet). She has her original hair bow, still neatly in place, and original hang tag.
 
She has a gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with the prettiest and lightest blonde hair -- thick and full, with no missing plugs and is clean and shiny and can be combed.
 
This happy baby is in MINT condition — fat and sassy, she has a pleasant and huggable body that is immaculately clean.
 
I have had quite a few of these 12" Baby Dear dolls in my collection, and had added to their wardrobes many original Vogue Baby Dear outfits, as well as lovely new ones -- these will be listed as well as I CLOSE OUT my collection of these little 'imps'.
 
She is a PRIZE for a collector who will appreciate this special little girl.
