RARE Vintage 1930s Effanbee FAO Schwarz 18" Patsy Family Toddler Doll
 
This amazing and stunning Patsy Family doll has been in my personal collection for many years. She has the Patsy Lou face, but smaller in size, and has a chubby toddler body -- she is all composition with a blond human hair wig, and is approximately 18" high. She was sold exclusively through the FAO Schwarz catalog in the 1930s. I have restrung her to pose without a stand if so desired. She is nearly flawless, but for two separations to the compo on the inside of her left leg. Her paint is vibrant and smooth with very little sign of wear or age... she appears to never have been played with -- immaculately clean and her human hair wig is in its original set... carefully preserved in a hairnet and hairpins; I left her hair as I received her so long ago, and while photographing her today I was tempted to 'let those tresses down', but I will leave that to you... they must be exquisite! Her face has little to no crazing, and her vivid blue eyes retain all their human hair lashes -- full, thick and even.
 
She comes with a HUGE wardrobe of 5 complete outfits, and one pair of oilcloth shoes and rayon socks.
 
These are all gorgeous dresses. Each dress set is photographed here and by-and-large are in like new condition. A slightly darkened age patina prompted me to launder and freshen the white dotted Swiss dress set, and the white pleat front dress that came with the blue silk coat and bonnet. Expect some signs of light storage this past almost 90 years. All these dresses had never been laundered and were crisp and like new and in unplayed with condition.

I have only seen one other of this issue doll and both were unmarked. There was a Patsy Doll family pin on her blue silk taffeta coat at one time, but I have misplaced it for the photo shoot, but will find it and pin it back in place).
 
This lovely doll came with all these wonderful dresses. I find it hard to imagine she was never played with as she is stunning and the outfits exquisite.
