Rare 1940s Effanbee 14" Magic Hands Skippy Sailor composition and cloth doll with original ditty bag and all original accessories.
 
Extremely rare doll, and even more rare to find him with his original accessories complete!

Skippy has the composition socket head on wooden neck rim, painted brown hair with forelock curl, painted features, blue side-glancing eyes, v- shaped brows, muslin torso, composition limbs, painted black boots, and special magic hands with tiny magnets inserted into the palms which allow him to hold accessory items. 
 
He wears his original navy blue sailor uniform, white hat with US Navy stamped on brim.
 
His original ditty bag is also stamped "U.S.N. " (very faint but still there) containing all his original items with magnetized handles to enable him to hold each one.
 
Accessory items include:

Wooden mop bucket
Deck swab
 
Very rare to find doll with original accessories; some crazing on hair; otherwise all in very good condition.
