1930s RARE 25" American Character Petite Chubby Happy Baby Doll
If ever a big sweet and happy baby there ever was... here is the one to bring home. Baby herself is all original with original dress, and vintage bonnet, slip, coat and bonnet set, undies and booties.
She is MARVELOUS, with a lightweight and super cuddly and soft cloth body, and chubby arms and legs. Really... squeeze her see ifyou don't see her smile grow even bigger!
I have had this lovely baby in my personal collection for many years now and she was always a favorite. She comes dressed in her original white organdy dress; crisp pure white, new-old-store stock Feltman Bros. slip; exquisite white organdy ruffled bonnet; creamy white booties; and a peachy pink MAGNIFICENT coat and bonnet set that is well... simply "to die for".
Baby has 'no name' that I can find, but she is lightly embossed on the back of her chest plate simply "PETITE". She measures a full 25" and is super clean and has only a scant few light craze lines and paint wear overall. She does have surface separation to the paint on the inside-back of her right leg but it is totally stable and smooth. Her molded hair has soft rubs and the fingertips had some paint wear which I did touchup ... I imagine some little girl loved this baby and as she is so big, dragged her lovingly around behind her. Her body is clean, but the stuffing at the arms has settled enough that I pinned them to her body for more stability... I like her that way myself, but it is an easy enough fix to redistribute the stuffing that is there or add more.
Baby's lovely lovely face has clear painted features; her pretty blue eyes are clear and open and close properly; she has a full complement of thick and even brush lashes. To enhance her HAPPY BABY countenance she sports two darling DIMPLES in case you had any doubt about her joyful self.

All clothing is in Pristine mint condition but for a tiny hole in one of the dress puffed sleeves. The coat and bonnet set is made of lightest pink and exquisite featherweight silk; Net lace and French Val lace, along with embroidery are featured, along with the most delicate mother-of-pearl buttons with thread-loop closures -- all cleverly hidden inside the garment. The coat is comprised of TWO COATS... one inside the other; the inside lining coat is fully removable and reversible as it is 'finished' on both sides; it is filled with cotton padding to keep Baby warm in the colder months... or remove it for a fresh Spring coat option... either way it is breathtaking. Mix-and-match her bonnet with her organdy ruffled bonnet for full versatility.
