RARE 1930s BLOND Ideal Compo Baby Beautiful... I have only seen one other blond in 30 years, and she was in very poor shape. She could easily be marketed as a Shirley Temple Look-Alike with her chubby cheeks, blond curls and bright green flirty eyes.
 
ALL ORIGINAL factory outfit -- dress, bonnet, slip, socks, and oilcloth moccasins. Baby is all original dressed in her pink organdy and lace dress with matching bonnet. She's certainly ready for a party now...
 
This little sweetheart came to me years ago and I sold her in 2015. Sometimes, many years later, these little ones make it back to me, and I am very pleased to offer her once again. This is an Ideal BABY BEAUTIFUL doll from the 1930s... one of several different issue dolls that were marketed and sold under that same name with entirely different faces and attributes during that period. Some were marked Ideal and others were issued for FAO Schwarz and Montgomery Ward without marks, as is this one.
 
THIS one is EXTRA SPECIAL -- she has a loud WORKING CRIER and beautiful BLOND curls.
 
Such a happy baby, she has composition arms and legs and head, with a firmly stuffed cloth body. Because the body shows age stains unbecoming of her rather mint composition status, she has been given a new 'skin' to cover nicely. Her arms, legs and head have smooth, even skin tone with NO crazing or marks, and only a tiny bit of paint rub to her lower lip and a couple of fingers... remarkable! Her face has lovely original coloring with a healthy blush still remaining on her cheeks and knees. Her ORIGINAL rare GREEN FLIRTY EYES move back-and-forth and open-close perfectly, with all lashes intact. Her blond molded curls are perfect!
 
She is ALL ORIGINAL, and I don't believe her shoes and socks have ever been removed. She wears rayon socks under her shoe.  The pink cotton organdy dress and matching bonnet are in excellent condition. There are a few tiny holes and a mend in the extra full skirt that are well hidden for display; otherwise no stains, marks or weaknesses in the outfit. All in all a wonderfully preserved rare treasure.
 
Baby Beautiful, in any issue, is a desirable doll to add to your nursery -- between the rare blond curls and gorgeous flirty eyes, this one is not to be missed.
