ALL ORIGINAL factory outfit -- dress, bonnet, slip, bloomers, socks, and oilcloth shoes AND coat. Baby is all original but for irises that have been added to enhance her crystalized glassene eyes.
 
What a wonderful and RARE baby!
 
This is an Ideal BABY BEAUTIFUL doll from the 1930s... one of several different issue dolls that were marketed and sold under that same name with entirely different faces and attributes during that period.
 
 
Such a happy baby, she has composition arms and legs and head, with a firmly stuffed cloth body. Her arms and legs have smooth, even skin tone with only two craze lines on one leg. Her crystalized irises have had pupils added to enhance their condition, but the ORIGINAL FLIRTY EYES move back-and-forth and open-close perfectly, with all lashes intact. I chose not to restore them to keep this special doll as original as possible... after all, one can always have the irises restored later if it is important enough to you -- in my mind the baby is in such remarkable condition on its own, I didn't see a need for it. Her face has lovely original coloring with a healthy blush still remaining. Her brown molded curls have just a couple of paint rubs at the very top of her head; all other 'spots' are flashback from my lighting -- near perfect otherwise.
 
She is ALL ORIGINAL -- right down to her shoes and socks and hang tag .She wears rayon striped socks under her shoes that are scalloped at the edges. Her finely loomed white cotton slip closes at the back with a single pearl button.
 
The pink cotton organdy dress and matching bonnet are in excellent condition with some age related shelf patina. I have replaced the elastic at the sleeve openings, and ties on the bonnet. The silky coat has age related soiling/stains that are not prominent and seemingly do not distract from its elegance... her ensemble is beautifully preserved after all these years.
 
Baby Beautiful, in any issue, is a desirable doll to add to your nursery -- especially with gorgeous flirty eyes -- this one is not to be missed.
