Vintage 1930s Effanbee 11" Mold 1 Dy-Dee Ette Baby Doll -- Gorgeous and vibrant face
... comes in her original EARLY 'Shoebox' style display box with hook closure.
 
Baby wears her soft white cotton lawn day gown, with matching bonnet with original ribbons, and slip.  Underneath she wears her rayon knit vest (undershirt), and pure white birds eye weave diaper held on with two tiny golden safety pins. She wears a pair of white rayon Dy-Dee socks to keep her feet warm.
 
Bedtime comfort and style include a pair of Dy-Dee drop-seat pajamas with 'feet'; then cuddle her up with her soft pink'blankie' for a night of extra sweet sleep. After bath she has the sweetest little nursery rhyme print flannel robe to snuggle into. There is a white flannel capelet with floral embroidery to wrap  her in as well.
 
Includes her "What Every Young Doll Mother Should Know" brochure by Aunt Patsy. Inside are messages to the 'New Mommy', and another to her parents. There are care and feeding instructions to keep Dy-Dee comfortable and healthy. Various extra outfits and accessories are depicted encouraging 'Mommy' to add them to her baby's layette.
 
Her 'diary' is also included.
 
All of baby's clothes are in very lightly played with condition... all are clean and pressed and ready to display.
 
Baby herself has a beautiful head -- dark molded curls with just a modicum of soft rubs at the backside to lend to her character and age. She has a soft complexion, vivid painted features, and nice open and close green sleepy eyes ; the brush lashes are full and even. Her 'skin' is smooth and soft and supple -- no hardness, cracking or crazing. All joints move freely but firmly as they should. All fingers and toes are intact -- beautiful body -- I hesitate to call the body Mint but it is in wonderful condition and my close up photos will help you see just how nice it is.
 
The little 11" Dy-Dee Ette deserves a place in every Dy-Dee Collector's nursery... She loves to sit on my big Dy-Dee Lou's lap and share a storybook.
 
Dy-Dee Ette comes in her original box that is in good condition structurally and the latch works great.
