Darling and popular 18” Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1960, designed by Eloise Wilkins.
Gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with blonde hair with red highlights, an immaculately clean body, and even-toned vinyl limbs . If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty light reddish blonde hair… much like the baby in the 'Baby Dear' book by Eloise Wilkins.
This happy baby is fat and sassy, she sits up comfortably and poses ‘oh so many ways’.
She comes dressed in a lovely layette:
- White cotton print baby drawstring gown
- Pink terry cloth bib
- White knit booties
- New white undershirt with side snaps
- Newly made replica of a Baby Dear diaper with added lace
- Beautiful brand new, white cotton day gown with matching bonnet -- darling embroidered rosebuds are sprinkled the bodice with pin tuck pleating, and buttons up the front.
All outfits in excellent, clean and pressed MINT condition (with the exception of the nightgown where there is a very light yellowing at the snap area) ready for play and display... although she prefers to be cuddled.
If you are like me, you will love to hold this little infant and care for her as if she were a 'real baby'. If you collect them, you know they are much like potato chips, and cannot be resisted or denied. Dress them often, as they look charming and enjoy being fussed over."
