Rare find... original 1960s American Character 16" Tiny Tears "Waves Bye-Bye"
 
This rare doll is ALL ORIGINAL and comes with her two original outfits -- two-piece pink-and-white cotton knit romper; and, pink-and-white gingham dress and matching bonnet. Original knit booties cover her feet to complete her outfit.
 
She is a rare doll and was only issued ONE YEAR and I believe because the internal mechanism that allows her to wave bye-bye was made of hard plastic and became brittle and broke easily... that being said, this little baby no longer waves bye-bye either. She is made of blow molded plastic; her lower legs have some fading as seen in her 'nakie' photos, but this is covered by her booties.
 
However, if you love her, and/or she brings a special memory back to you from your own childhood, she will make a sweet addition to your doll nursery.
 
I will send her home with a new old-store-stock nursing bottle and a rattle for added fun.
