1940s Vintage 11" Effanbee Dy-Dee Ellen Baby Doll -- 1 of 2 Twin dolls (sold separately)
 
This is an adorable, high-color Mold 3 Dy-Dee Baby
 
I have 2 of these little Punkin's today. They are TWINS in just about every way with matching dresses, slips, socks, undershirts and diapers... and darling Dr. Denton style drop-seat pajamas.
 
This little girl comes with her white organdy dress and matching slip; she wears the PINK pajamas to stay warm and cozy at night.
 
Dy-Dee's rubber body is soft, supple and fairly even in color and tone. Her joints are firm and pose well. She has no crazing at all and her facial features are vibrant with no rubs; all paint is intact. She has lovely glassene green eyes that compliment her pretty reddish caracul lambswool wig -- darling little curls all over her little head... so cute!!
 
Her little dress and slip have play wear but I have stitched the spot or two that needed mending.
 
Her pajamas are BRAND NEW, made from super soft and thick cotton knit. These are made in the style so popular in the 1940s and 1950s made for dolls and little boys and girls by Dr. Denton.
 
To make your purchase even more special, I am including this sweet little dolly suitcase with graphics on the lid by Margaret Holbrook, a famous illustrator in the 1940s/1950s.
 
Nice little 'starter set' for Dy-Dee's layette, and in such wonderful condition.
