This sweet light blond Babykin is in excellent condition with NO crazing -- her little molded curls have a modicum of gente rubs to express her age. Her darling face is nearly perfect -- all painted features are intact but for a single brow; her rosy cheeks are unblemished, and there are no rubs. She has adorable brown side-glancing that add an element of 'caution' and mischeiviousness at the all at the same moment.
 
Her sweet molded curls, drawn up bent legs, and baby face lend her a younger look than the Patsy Babykin toddler dolls. She the earliest issue of the Babykin dolls. Her composition body is smooth and even in color, with some slight paint loss at the very tips of her left hand, and the not unusual paint wear at the joints. She is strung firmly to sit up and hold a variety of poses.
 
Babykin is dressed in her ORIGINAL PINK COTTON ORGANDY dress -- this dress is similar to the very popular Effanbee Dy-Dee 'three-button flounce dress'; this smaller size without the buttons and without the gathered puff sleeves has been seen on both Dy-Dee Ette and Babykin dolls. Underneath is the original pink slip, flannel diaper, and rayon vest undershirt. All clothes in beautiful condition with no flaws.
 
I have added an ADORABLE pair of pink flannel mommy-made shoes embellished with pink silk stitching and tiny pearl button closures.
 
To finish the set she has her ORIGINAL Effanbee pink wool sweater and matching bonnet -- the EMBROIDERED flowers and pink silk crochet trim make this set, along with her organdy dress and 'party shoes' the perfect ensemble for any holiday or party.
 
This little darling is the hard to find brown painted eye issue... truly another "doll that will steal your heart" from this vintage line of Effanbee Patsy Family dolls.
