Breathtaking 1930s vintage 11" all composition Effanbee PatsyKINS / Patsy JR
 
What a stunning little girl doll from the popular Patsy family of dolls commencing in the 1930s. She is in near mint condition with just a few very very light craze lines anywhere. Her high coloring and smooth even-toned composition body are complemented by her adorable hand-made baby pink silk dress, slip/onesie, and bonnet.
 
This outfit is AMAZING! I have never seen such fine handwork (work)womanship in my many decades of collecting... and one of my specialties has always been acquiring this type of highly tailored garment, lovingly made more than likely by some little girl's Mom, Aunt or Grandma.
 
Patsykins dress set is made of baby pink silk with sunny yellow silk ruching trim, and very fine embroidered flowers. It is uniquely made from a pattern issued back in the day, and every attention to detail was made. It is an early dress/bonnet design for the Patsy family, with the 'poofed' bonnet. Tiny silver hand-sewn snaps close the back of the dress as well as two at one shoulder to faciliate easy on/off of the dress to avoid undue stress on the silk given its nature, especially as it ages... very thoughtful. Her shoes are original, but they were hand dyed yellow to match the trim on the outfit. Truly a unique and exquisite set!
 
Patsykins is one of the most highly desired doll of the Patsy family, and given her condition and unique ensemble... it doesn't get any better than this.
