What a darling little treasure from the beloved Effanbee Patsy family! This charming 9-inch Patsy Babyette from the 1930s has a gorgeous auburn rabbit fur wig, beautiful green sleep eyes, and a wonderfully generous ALL ORIGINAL EFFANBEE LAYETTE, with so many delightful changes of clothing!
And what makes this little girl especially appealing is that nearly all of her lovely wardrobe has remained together through the decades in beautiful, unused and unplayed-with condition!
Babyette is the all-composition issue, with a composition head and body, jointed shoulders and hips, and darling toddler legs. She can be posed sitting prettily, lying down for a little nap, or showing off one of her many lovely changes of clothing.
She is appropriately marked on her back.
CONDITION
This precious little girl has survived her many decades in remarkable condition!
Her composition retains lovely, smooth, even-toned coloring throughout, with minimal crazing to her body and some crazing to her sweet face. All of her original painted facial features remain intact, including her delicate eyebrows, rosy cheeks, and darling little rosebud mouth.
Her beautiful, bright green glassene sleep eyes are especially appealing, retaining a full complement of thick, even brush lashes. Her eyes open and close perfectly.
And then there is that GORGEOUS AUBURN RABBIT FUR WIG! Wonderfully full and beautifully preserved, it frames her sweet little face with such warmth and character.
