Amazing, near mint, high color 1930s jointed Walt Disney PINOCCHIO by Knickerbocker Toys.
 
...love him and perhaps he will become a 'real boy' someday. He's wonderful... a keen reminder to us all that to tell a lie has consequences (hopefully not a nose growing with each fib). EVERY doll cabinet has room for this little guy to serve as a reminder to the rest of your nursery family to behave and tell no lies.
 
VERY VERY RARE to find in such pristine condition. Pinocchio is ALL ORIGINAL with no restoration / repaint, and stands approx. 14" tall. He was only missing his little felt fedora hat, and I have fashioned him a new one in the likeness of his original. His paint is high color and completely intact, with the only wear evident at the inside of his ball leg joints... and even that is faint and minimal. Marked Knickerbocker, ©1939. Back of head has raised "Pinocchio" and Knickerbocker names.
 
His shoes are black wool felt uppers and brown velveteen soles; the shortalls are cinnamon wool felt with two jazzy yellow celluloid buttons; and his onesie style shirt is a pretty blue cotton. His clothes show very, very light soiling from his now 90 years... imagine a boy keeping his clothes this clean for so long!!
 
This little fella' here is in prime condition and I have never seen one in such vivid color and smooth composition... the absolute finest example of this rare little boy doll I have ever seen presented.
