This most charming BABY EVELYN is a rare and highly sought after doll... 
 
She is very hard to find and this little one is in incredible condition -- in near MINT CONDITION with NO CRAZING and ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL -- no repaint and no touchup.
 
She is a perfectly-sized baby at 17" but big enough to easily tug at your heartstrings with her beautiful vivid brown eyes and soft countenance. BABY Evelyn is marked on the nape of her neck, "Effanbee / Baby Evelyn." Her 5-part composition head and body retain all original paint -- down to her fingers and little toes -- paint is smooth and has NO CRAZING; ... the nearly the finest example of Evelyn I have ever seen.
 
Her firmly stuffed muslin body is flawless -- clean and firm and inside holds a non-working crier -- sturdy and completely intact. She has 'warm dark brown' molded curls covering her little baby head, which is oddly the only sign of age or wear to this amost 90-year-old young lady, with just enough paint rubs to lend character and age to such a wonderfully preserved dolly. She has bright brown tin litho eyes with all human hair lashes are there, but for a small area where they are shortened... as is so common.  Her vivid painted features show no wear at all and light up her face.

Baby Evelyn comes dressed in her original Effanbee factory white cotton organdy dress, replaced bonnet, cotton lawn underslip (with definite wear and will include another along with her, but thought you should have the original), and original soft flannel undershirt. The clothing is in excellent condition -- fabric is crisp and clean and gorgeous on her... as you can see, Baby Evelyn displays incredibly!
