Vintage 1940s Effanbee 11" Dy-Dee Ellen baby doll in her original retail box~
 
EXTREMELY RARE 11" TRUE Blonde 1940's Effanbee Dy-Dee Ellen -- 
I call this shade 'Harlow Blonde'... absolutely amazing hair on this little girl! 
This little sweetheart has been with me for quite some time, so she is hard to let go... Baby has a Super HIGH COLOR face... Perfectly lovely!
 
This doll baby is SO RARE she is not pictured in Barbara Hilliker's Dy-Dee reference book. I have had two other blond Dy-Dee babies, but both were in the 15" size... this is the ONLY one I have ever seen in the small size... too, too Darling for words!
 
Her SUPER RARE TRUE GOLDEN BLONDE wig is full with no thinning and exceptional color. Baby's ears are good with some 'foxing' on one ear, and both are still soft. Bright facial coloring, and all painted facial features are intact and vivid... NO REPAIRS OR RESTORATIONS. Soft, supple and nice rubber body, with no crazing; her fingers and toes are all accounted for; her joints are firm and she poses well.
 
Baby comes with her original retail box in good condition; the inside lid used to hold all her accessories; all that remains is a replacement bubble pipe and her 'faux' silver feeding spoon. She has her original Effanbee crisp white organdy dress, pink rosebud flannel drop seat pajamas, undershirt, and diaper -- all in excellent condition.
 
I have added a darling Mommy Made cotton floral dress and bonnet set that compliments her coloring nicely. For cooler evenings she'll want a coat and hat, and I have included a sweet little set here in baby pink corduroy; there are a couple of spots of color loss to the fabric (see the photo of her backside).
 
Add to her wardrobe 'as you go' and make her your 'Little Queen"... she deserves it!
