VERY RARE 1940s Effanbee 10" Composition Patsy Babykin Magnetic Hands Doll -- Toddler straight legs version.

DARLING ORIGINAL Molly'es DRESS, COAT and BONNET -- FOURTH of JULY THEME with her ALL ORIGINAL magnetized Toys still attached to the original display card. ORIGINAL GOLD PAPER HANG TAG.

From the high end collection of the estate of Helen Baker, with whom I enjoyed a long 'dolly friend' relationship... a very special woman.

NEAR MINT CONDITION in original 'July 4th' outfit with Magnetic Hands that hold her toys.

This super rare Patsy Babykin will be a most welcome addition to any Patsy Family doll collection. This special edition of the 1940s all composition Patsy Babykin has magnets imbedded into the palm of her hands. This allows toys with metal attachments to be held by Babykin -- Super Fun!

Patsy Babykin wears her original layette factory dress by Molly'es -- lovely red and white gingham dress with matching bonnet; AND a navy blue twill 'sailor style' coat and matching bonnet. BOTH outfits are crisp, mint and PRISTINE.

Her face is near MINT with no paint wear, NO RUBS and perfect composition. She has lovely eyes with full, thick and even brush lashes, and ALL painted facial features are intact. Her cheeks glow with a healthy blush.

Baby has a repaired left thumb and very well done; otherwise ALL ORIGINAL Doll with NO RESTORATION.

Babykin is in near mint condition. Her body has no cracks or chipping. Her beautiful dark brown molded curls are nearly perfect.

These are her original factory toys  on the card, and a little red 'rubber' ball that came with her (it has partially deteriorated but still sits in her hand; I also added a little teddy bear, whisk broom,  and a tiny American flag so you won't have to remove the others from the card to enjoy the magnetic feature.  For many years it was impossible to know what toys these little dolls came with from the factory, as they were always separated and lost over the near 80 years gone by now. However, now you have the original card with the attached toys that came in the box with Babykin when she was 'born'

ALSO INCLUDED is the ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT when se was purchased from GIMBELS in Pittsburgh on December 17... doesn't say what year, but surely a lovely CHRISTMAS GIFT for someone.

This is a fabulous and incredibly rare set with provenance that I would think you will never see again.
