Darling and popular 18” Vogue Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1961, designed by Eloise Wilkins.
Gorgeous healthy glow to her lovely face with blonde hair, and an immaculately clean body; her limbs are pink and beautiful as the day she was 'born.' She is fresh and ready to come home. If you have ever tried to photograph and ‘capture’ the true color of a Baby Dear’s hair, you know it depends on the lighting and angle; this baby has pretty light blonde hair. Her hair has no missing plugs and is clean and shiny and lovely.
This happy baby is in as close to mint condition as I have seen — fat and sassty, with the signature drape that makes her so easy to pose in such adorable ways. There should be no surprises as received... she is a PRIZE for a collector who will appreciate this special little girl.
Set includes, 18" Baby Dear in her original white batiste dress, matching slip, booties, and hang tag and EXTREMELY RARE pink blanket -- all displayed in her Baby Dear retail box including TOP fits absolutely perfectly and came to me as original. Makes an amazing display, but she would much rather come out and play with the other girls in the nursery than be tethered in her box!
Her dress set is in mint condition; the elastic at the dress neck and sleeve openings is still springy; signature Vogue star dot snap closure on both the slip and the dress!
If you collect them, you know they are much like potato chips, and cannot be resisted or denied. Dress them often, as they look charming and enjoy being fussed over.
