Vintage 1950s Shackman Black Sleepy Baby Cloth Doll in Box.
 
Extremely hard to find African American issue.
 
Sleepy Baby is a 7 1/2"-8" African American black floppy limb cloth baby doll that was "Hand-Fashioned" for Shackman in Japan circa the 1950s-on. 
 
Baby is described on his original box as "A soft, helpless cuddly handful of doll."  Sleepy Baby appears UN-played with in his original box. 
 
He/she remains in sturdy MINT condition. The box is in excellent condition with NO tears or corner splits. No bad odors.
 
The African American black Sleepy Baby is a harder to find version of this ever popular "cuddly" doll!
 
This baby comes from a world-class collector's huge inventory I purchased a few years ago. She collected ALL of the Shackman baby dolls and inventoried and documented them at the time.
