RARE --1930s Effanbee EARLY SUGAR BABY 20" Composition Doll
 
This is a wonderful 20" -- one of the LARGER SIZES made -- Effanbee SUGAR Baby composition and cloth doll from the 1930's.
 
She comes dressed in her vintage replacemement factory outfit -- Complete -- a crisp cotton dotted Swiss pink cotton baby-style dress, with matching bonnet, replaced newly made slip, cotton twill coat and matching bonnet. Still retains her original oilcloth shoes and socks, however..
 
SUGAR BABY is in Excellent  to MINT Condition... there is NO PAINT LOSS, and her glossy dark chocolate brown molded curls are nearly perfect. Her composition is smooth with ABSOLUTLEY NO CRAZING and retains a healthy pink glow. Her soft cloth body has some light age patina to it, but firm and all limbs move as they should. All facial features are clearly defined with beautiful coloring. Her only restoration is a set of replaced irises; her lashes appear to all be intact and even but for a thin area in the right eye and truly barely noticeable.
