Vintage 1930s Effanbee 19" Patsy Ann Composition Doll Near MINT
This gorgeous Patsy Ann is dressed in her lovely classic documented dress and oilcloth shoes whick are all original. I have added a newer vintage, old-store-stock set of cotton underwear, and two silk headbands -- one green and one red -- to compliment her pretty dress.
Patsy Ann is nearly flawless. Her facial coloring is rich and vibrant, with all delicate painted features intact. She has NO CRAZING at all on face, hair or body. There is only one tiny 'star' break in her compo at the back of one arm, to report. Her lovely brown eyes have replaced irises... everything else about her is untouched and original... no other restorations or repaints or touchups. The area around her eyes shows me that at one time in the last 85+ years her eyes were 'oiled'... a common practice among some restorationists, that causes this effect. It is slight and does not affect her lovely countenance at all. Her eyes are clear and a gorgeous dark brown; full, even brush lashes are all there, and eyes open and close perfectly.
Her dress is a classis early issue Patsy garment, made of lightweight, semi-sheer print cotton voile. The colors are bright and unfaded. There are a couple of mends done well. The red silk ribbon bow at the neckline is original. Her oilcloth shoes are in Minty condition, and both snaps are intact. I did not remove her shoes and socks, as snaps on these older oilcloth shoes can be difficult to undo without harming the snaps.
I have a few additional outfits in my shop for Patsy Ann, as well this young lady's sister -- a vibrant blue-eyed Patsy Ann. My last photo shows this one dressed in a red, white and blue 'hearts' themed dress -- perfect for upcoming July 4th celebration; her sister stands beside her.
Be sure to take a look at the outfits available for Patsy Ann -- great way to 'pad out' her wardrobe.
