Darling and popular 18” TOP KNOT Baby Dear doll, first issued in 1960, designed by Eloise Wilkins. Comes complete in her original 1st issue outfit.
THIS IS THE BEST OF MY COLLECTION... well, it is hard to say that for sure...
Featuring : Hang Tag, Original Layette, and an EXTRA fabulous batiste and silk jacket., and a darling newly made pair of 'nitey nite' style footed pajamas This is the 'rooted hair' version that was available for several years after the first issue Top Knot baby doll.
Gorgeous (and I do mean gorgeous!) healthy glow to her lovely face with the LIGHTEST BLONDE HAIR I have ever seen. She has an immaculately clean body that is ALL ORIGINAL with NO restoration -- she has 'fever cheeks'. She has a sweet baby smell. I was able to ‘capture’ the true color of this Baby Dear’s hair -- this baby has pretty very light blonde hair and it is full with no missing hair plugs -- thick and full and just lovely!
This happy baby is in excellent /near mint condition — fat and sassy, she sits up comfortably and poses ‘oh so many ways’, but still has the "desired by collectors" FLOPPY poseable body with her quiet and pensive countenance.
She comes ALL ORIGINAL with her original infant layette outfit -- rosebud cotton jersey kimono, white cotton 'side-tie' undershirt, and fluffy white flannel diaper with signature Vogue 'star dot' snaps -- this set is in absolutely MINT and unplayed with condition. She will come with a pair of pink crochet booties to keep her little chubby feet cozy and warm... she has her hang tag as well (sorry, not pictured but will be included). All clothing in excellent seemingly unplayed with condition. Her body is just perfect nice and PINK with no marks, or chews to her sweet, chubby arms and legs or head. Her cloth stuffed body is squeezably soft and cuddly with just enough 'drape' to her neck to remind you she is a 'new baby' and needs you to comfort and support her. She is marked with her cloth Vogue tag at the nape of her neck; and, she is appropriately stamped at the back of her leg 'E. Wilkins / 1960' to attest to her authenticity.Baby Dear dolls are all DARLING!! If you collect them, you know they are much like potato chips, and cannot be resisted or denied. Dress them often, as they look charming and enjoy being fussed over.
Her vinyl is also a nice even pink -- still just like new ❤️
I only added her a tiny bit of blush ever so lightly.❤️
I never do anything to my dolls that can't be undone ❤️
