1946 Effanbee Candy Kid TWINS -- Boxed Set is all Factory Original and in minty condition.
 
These two darling Candy Kid composition dolls are just 12" high... the smaller of the two sizes produced (12" and 14"). Rare to find the twins together in their matching daytime outfits (school boy and school girl) with their FACTORY ORIGINAL RED WOOL FELT COATS and MATCHING BONNET and HAT.
 
Both dolls have beautiful coloring; rosy cheeks and lovely composition. There is some slight flaking on the little girl's left arm and the boy has the same on each arm to a lesser extent, and some wear to the paint at the joints on both (someone in the past has sealed those spots); a few light craze lines as well. They present much nicer than described here.
 
They have crystal clear working sleep eyes with all lashes present. All painted facial features are intact and well-defined. Their stringing is firm and they pose easily on their own.
 
They both wear original shoes; the girl's shoes are very nice oilcloth; the little boy was harder on his 'kicks' and he must have lost one along the way 'cuz they are not an exact match... I do believe I have an extra very nice pair, and when found I will include them or send them on to you, too.
 
Both are marked on nape of the neck as well as their backs : Effanbee.
 
Their original Effanbee presentation box is perfect for storing and protecting these little tykes along with their clothing.
 
The clothing is in MINT CONDITION. The little dolls are the best I have ever had, as they are just about always worn, crazed and cracked.
